ESG Policy

We have established an ESG Team within the firm to handle, monitor and update an ESG Policy for Bagnall Doyle MacMahon going forward.

Environmental

Hybrid Working:

We have also moved to a hybrid working model which consists of staff working three days in the office and two days working from home. This has already resulted in our staff using more public transport and reducing our reliance on private transport.

Cycle to work:

We are actively encouraging our staff to cycle to work. Both principals in the office cycle to work and currently about 40%-50% of our staff either cycle or walk to work as their main form of commuting. We participate in the Cycle to Work scheme.

Social

Gender Equality/Equal Opportunities:

50% of our staff are female which we believe is a first for a firm of commercial property consultants.

Charitable Donations:

Bagnall Doyle MacMahon have committed to an annual donation to a charity that they deem is in particular need.  Charities that have benefited from this donation over the years include Focus Ireland (Sponsor a Star), The Alzheimer’s Society (Race Across America), and in 2021, we donated to the Unicef Vaccination Appeal.

Community Activities:

BDM have committed to engage in more activities that will have a positive impact on the community and the wider environment as a whole.  This will also have the benefit of us being more involved in the local community and getting to know our neighbouring residents and businesses.

We will be organising a number of annual company outings that will improve the local / wider community in terms of a beach / Dodder clean-up.

Governance

Bagnall Doyle MacMahon is responsibly run by two principals – Declan Bagnall and Mike Doyle - who actively manage the governance within the company.

BDM produces a full set of annual accounts that are examined by an External Auditor.

The company is also registered with the Companies Registration Office and is committed to running a transparent and legal operation at all levels.   We are a registered member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) and of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and all of our agency staff are registered with the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA).

Many of our staff are actively involved within the Society of Chartered Surveyors. Declan Bagnall sits on the Commercial Agency Committee and is a former Chair; Mike Doyle sits on the Valuation Committee, while Brian Bagnall sits on the Rates Committee and is an APC assessor. Niall Curley is on the Sustainability Committee. Declan also sits on the Membership and Public Affairs Committee.

Niall is head of our Property Management Team and is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. Niall also sits on the sustainability committee within the SCSI.

Cathal Kelly

Cathal Kelly

Cathal is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has worked mainly in commercial property and also spent 12 years as a BER Assessor and Energy Consultant. He is also a qualified BREEAM Assessor.
